Pagadian City – At least 275 beneficiaries from the indigenous
community of Zamboanga del Sur received starter toolkits from the Special
Skills Training Program (SSTP) of the Technical Education Skills Development
Authority (TESDA) on Friday, October 11 at the Maguindanao Hall, Provincial
Government Complex, Dao, Pagadian City.
Congresswoman
Divina Grace Yu personally attended the distribution of the kits to the IP’s
and delivered an inspirational message to them in behalf of Gov. Victor J. Yu.
The
starter kits contain tools for farming, carpentry, plumbing and other use for
livelihood of the people in the second district of the province.

Yu said that the current leadership is putting its efforts for the 2nd
District because they lack support especially for farmers.
The
lady representative added that Gov. Yu’s leadership has been diligently working
out programs for Zambosurians as part of his consultative governance that seeks
the welfare of the people.
At
the end of her message, the congresswoman affirmed the solid support of the
provincial government to the people of the 2nd District through
programs focused on uplifting the livelihood status of the majority.
“The
new provincial government can be trusted by the people of the 2nd
District for their needs and requests with the aide of the national government
so they can aspire for a brighter tomorrow not just for their children but also
for the future generations”, Yu said.
